VIA Rail is an independent Crown corporation that operates the national rail service on behalf of the Government of Canada. The solution allows flight attendants to perform their activities from a single application. The Ineat middleware combines information from multiple data sources into a single application: passenger list, train composition, calendar, split point, employee and crew information, alerts and notifications. The solution has been designed to seamlessly and transparently manage any gain or loss of connectivity, making it a smart application that we like to call "auto-magic". This feature ensures that VIA Rail flight attendants can rely 100% on the application without having to worry about connecting or transmitting information. The application includes a manifest of the passengers on board, as well as real-time information on the status of the train. It also includes security standards, improved communication between on-board employees and other VIA Rail departments, and electronic ticket management.
